The Glow Down

Tantouring w/ Tanologist

What is “tantouring” and how can you do it with your fave Tanologist products?

Been seeing “Tantouring” all over your FYP and wanting to learn more about the newest viral beauty hack? We have you covered with the full breakdown of what is, how you do it and the Tanologist products you need for the best results

WHAT IS IT?

Tantouring is basically contouring & tanning combined – you use your self tan products the way you would use your bronzer to create a semi-permanent contour. This can be done on face & body.

WHAT PRODUCTS CAN I USE?

Any self tan products can be used to Tantour, but our faves are
EXTRA DARK MOUSSE: the guide colour in our Extra Dark Mousse means you can see exactly where you’re applying for the easiest possible application INSTA GLOW: our multi-use instant bronze is perfect if you want to try out tantouring without the commitment

WHAT TOOLS DO I NEED?

Your regular contouring tools will work for this, but our faves are
BLENDING BRUSH: our Blending Brush is super-soft & contoured to fit your body for a smooth & streak-free application
BLENDING SPONGE: we love the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge for a precise face tantour

HOW DO I DO IT?

FACE:

  1. Start with dry skin, with no moisturizer. If using moisturizer, apply Tanologist Extra Dark Mousse after moisturizing
  2. Pump one pump of Tanologist Extra Dark Mousse on to dry Real Techniques beauty sponge
  3. Apply to hollows of cheeks, around the forehead, and along jawline where you would normally add bronzer or contour
  4. Blend out with sponge until edges are diffused
  5. Pump more Tanologist Extra Dark Mousse on to Real Techniques sponge as needed to achieve desired amount of contour. Less is more!
  6. Leave on for at least one hour, or overnight for maximum color pay off
  7. Rinse off with water.

BODY:

  1. Start on dry skin, with no lotion or moisturizers applied
  2. Pump one pump of Tanologist Extra Dark Mousse on to dry Real Techniques beauty sponge for smaller areas or Tanologist Body Brush for larger areas
  3. Visualize how you want to contour your body, and keep this in mind while applying product
  4. Apply around hollows of collarbones, vertically along center of abdominals, and vertically along sides of abdominals
  5. Make sure to blend out any harsh lines, while keeping body parts that you don’t want contoured free of product
  6. Pump more Tanologist Extra Dark Mousse on to Real Techniques sponge as needed to achieve desired amount of contour. Less is more!
  7. Leave on for at least one hour, or overnight or maximum color pay off.
  8. Rinse off with water
